Major Satbir Sharma Gurugram – HSIIDC has drawn an ambitious plan to project IMT Sohna as next destination for Electronics & IT Industry. IMT Sohna being developed by HSIIDC over an area of approx.1500 acres of land which falls right on KMP Expressway, just 9 KM away from the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai-Vadodra expressway, about 4 KM from Delhi-Mumbai dedicated freight corridor and Palwal-Kundli orbital rail corridor passing through IMT Sohna itself. Out of 1500 acres, 500 acres is being developed as Electronic Manufacturing Cluster and one anchor unit namely M/s ATL Battery Technology India Pvt. Ltd. has already been allotted 178 acres of land, where the company has started construction activity at site and already made an investment of about Rs.1150 crore against total projected investment of Approx. Rs.10000 crore.
In this direction, Sh. Sunil Sharma, Chief Coordinator Industries, HSIIDC had a meeting with few leading players in the field like ATL Battery, Lumax, TDK, Taurgus Technologies, Alite Airflow, Windsor Technologies, Luminous, Sukam, Delta Electronics, VVDN etc. and explained the vision of Sh. Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Haryana. He told them about various schemes of Government of Haryana and discussed way forward. HSIIDC received an encouraging response with most of them expressing their desire to set up their new ventures in IMT Sohna, commented Sh. Sunil Sharma. Col. Balwinder of Taurgus Technologies touched the issue of Agnipath Scheme recently launched by Government of India and explained how this scheme is going to benefit industry and the most important one is availability of trained, trusted & disciplined manpower. The other industry representatives present in the meeting strongly endorsed the view of Col. Balwinder. HSIIDC is planning to have another round of discussions with industry leaders at the level of concerned senior officers of the Haryana Government, added Mr Sharma.
